The Old Mill is officially known as Pugh’s Mill Park. Renovated in 1933, the Old Mill’s design resembles a neglected mill from the early 1800s. The gristmill, which grinds grain into flour, dates back to 1828. Because of its stunning beauty, the Old Mill is one of the most photographed places in Arkansas. The mill was featured in the beginning scenes of the movie Gone with the Wind, and is thought to be the only remaining structure from that movie. Intriguing footbridges and a lovely lake surround the mill. The Old Mill is a favorite location for weddings or just enjoying a beautiful day. The Old Mill was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
